(This does have cussing it in!!)
A small boy stared out a grimmy window. His small hand and shallow breath fogging up the window. Salty tear trails were still visible on his cheeks. Before more tears could com, he rubbed his eyes and shook his head, trying to clear his mind. "Daddy." He said in a whiney and sad voice. The door of the child's room opened with a bag.
"Please. It's not as if he cared for us." Said the tall, skinny, dark haired boy who was only a few years older. "I mean, come on Theo. Name one time when he said he loved you, or even hung you."
Theo looked at his brother, new teras forming but he refused to let them fall. "Shut up Travis! You just didn't like him. He loved me. I know he did!"
Traivs scoffed, "Oh then why is he leaving you, you idiot. Just forget about him. He'll forgot about you tomorrow after his first drink."
Theo grabbed a baseball and threw it at Travis. The ball hit him in his stomach. "you little add! I'll get you for that!" He said and rushed at Theo. Theo yelpped and ducked under the bed. Travis kicked it and screamed. "You ass!" He said and stomped out of the room cussing up a storm.
Theo knew it was safe and came back out. "I hate him." He muttered and looked back out the window. A guy was packing up the trunk with lots of luggage and another guy was getting into the back seat. When the trunk was filled, the driver went around and got in his seat and started the car. The passenger looked up at Theo's window and glared at his small, six year old child. Theo never forgot that glare. It was filled with such hatred. Something he'll never understand.
(A month later)
Theo sat in his room, again staring out the window. Instead of tears, there was a scowl on his face. "You won't stay out there." He said to himself. "You'll come back." Down below, his brother Travis was walked away. He carried a backpack of some of his things, then turned around a corner and was gone. Travis could no longer stand the misery that seemed to surround the house. So, he just packed his things and took to the streets. The day aftyer his father left, Travis found this gang and joined. They would do many illiga things, somethings like drugs, burgarly, and attempt at murder. It was with Travis and his gang that Theo learned the way of the streets. After many fights, Theo left the gang that Traivs belong too and now was leader of, and went to find another gang. He brother nor his 'friends' like dhim much.
So in the course od three years, Theo continued to do bad things, though he never did drugs or murdered. Though he did drink sometimes. (And this is from the ages 6-9) He learned to live, steal, trade, fight, and flirt from the gang he was in. Finally he earned a name better than Brat by breaking into a very high security place and stealing something. It was his first big job and he did it with no problem. So his street name became Rift.
(He's nine now) Theo was talking among his friends in his gang, still though of as the youngest though. A police car came up and most of the members started to inch away. A cop got out and walked over to him. His insides squirmed, but he gave the officer a hard stare. "You Theo Dunncan?" He asked and Theo was getting more and more butterflies. "Yes." He said muffled by the sound of his thumping heart. This is it. They knew I did it and I'm going to jail. I'll be put to death! He though dramatically. The worse he'd get was 100 hours of comunity service. The K-9 dog in the back of the cop car barked loudly and he nearly jumped out of his skin. He had a few bad run ins with some street mutts, and they were never pretty. The cop sighed, "I'm sorry to tell you this, but your mom's dead, Theo." He looked sorry, but he wasn't intierally. "Um so you need to come with me." He said his voice harder than before. Theo glowered up at him, "I ain't movin. I'm hapy here. I got my buds to look after me." He said pointing to himself with his thumb.
The oficer looked around, "Uh, what.. buds?" He couldn't hid the smirk. Theo looked around, "What?! Man you gusy all suck! You know that!!" He yelled hoping they'd all hear. "Come on, son. You have to go into foster care." He grabbed Theo's arm and started to drag him to the car... with the dog. Theo squirmed and yanked his arm away, but the officer pushed him into the back of the car by that time. Theo went stiff as a board. The dog looked at him and growled then barked and Theo jumped and his hearted beated wildly. The officer laughed and did nothing to stop the dog from tormenting Theo.
(Day or so later)
Theo was sitting on a bench in the Child Service building. He was pouting and not happy at all. A chubby woman came by, "Get ready. They are here. Now no slouching, be polite, and if I hear one smartass crack, you are toast." Theo rolled his eyes. He had heard that a lot lately. This woman was a pain in the butt and he hated her. She was so blasted bossy. A sharp throbbing started up on the side of his head and he yelped. "OW!" She yelled at her. "I said be on your best behavior!" She restorted back to him. He rubbed his head and glared at her. A few seconds later, a husband and wife came up all happy and smiling. Behind the wife stood a pretty young girl about theo's age. She glared at him and stuck her tuonge out at him. He looked mad and did the same back to her, and earned himself another smack. "Feel free to do that when he acts up." The fat old hag said to the parents. The little girl smirk. Obviously she planned to do that even if he was good. The mother and father smiled more, "Oh that's great." They said and Theo couldn't beleive his ears. Did they really just say it was grea that they could hit him?! He growled and slide down further in the bench and wished he was out on the streets.
(Day later)
Theo moaned and hit the wall. "Damn I NEED to get out of here." He said and paced around his room. It was simple with a bed, dresser, and night stand. No TV, no radio. Only those things. It was so boring here, and they were weird. It was like they were so nice, it was just weird. Though their daughter was evil. She tormented him with anything she could.
